OUR AUTHOR WINS THE EKO PRIZE FOR LITERATURE

One of our authors here at FAMBATA PUBLISHERS – CIG Buea and Bamenda, Dr. Focho Dorothy Ngwi née Anyangwe, has won this year`s Eko Prize for the Furtherance of Literature. She bagged the award for her collection of poems, IF YOU WERE GOD. The poems have been described as “rich in subject matter, touching as it were on salient points ranging from the individual as a microcosm of society to the nation and world at large, as the macrocosm.” Dr Focho who holds a PhD in Educational Administration and Planning is Faculty Officer in the Faculty of Science of the University of Bamenda. The website of the Eko Prize describes purpose of the award as: recognition of “the lifetime achievement of a Cameroonian writer in English, whose work, taken as a whole, has had a significant impact on literature in Cameroon and beyond.” At FAMABATA PUBLISHERS – CIG, we publish books of all types.
