EARN A DEGREE IN MASS COMMUNICATION IN BUEA

If you want to study for a degree in Mass Communication, you can do so in Buea (headquarters of the South West Region of Cameroon) at   the Saint Monica University (SMU), popularly known as the American International University.

Saint Monica offers the B.A., M.A. and PhD in Mass Communication. And what`s more, courses are so conveniently arranged that you can start studies for your desired degree in any month of the year. You do not have to wait for September or October! Furthermore, the university accepts candidates with an academic background in any field. That is why among the students I am currently teaching at the M.A. Mass Communication level, there is one with a Bachelor`s degree in Linguistics and no previous background in Journalism or Mass Communication. ! Saint Monica recognizes that such a diversified background can only enrich the course and course content. It is also recognition of the multi-disciplinary real world in which we live!

This university is incorporated in the state of Hawaii, USA. It is authorized to operate in Cameroon by the National Commission on Private Higher Education at the Ministry of Higher Education, Yaounde, Cameroon. 

SMU is affiliated with the Accreditation Commission of the Transnational Association of Christian Colleges and Schools (TRACS) and is recognized by both the United States Department of Education and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation body for Christian institutions, colleges, universities and seminaries. TRACS is also a member of the international network for quality assurance agencies in higher education. TRACS is a voluntary, non-profit, self-governing organization that provides accreditation to Christian post secondary institution offering associate, baccalaureate and graduate degrees.

Admission requirements

Bachelor`s degree
- A-level pass in two papers or its equivalents

Master`s degree
- BS or BA in any field or graduate of any of the bachelors degree level

Doctorate degree
- At least a masters degree in any field
