The event was a well attended jamboree at the Yaounde Conference Centre featuring Cameroon`s ace musician Afo Akom and the Ivorian Laurent Gagbo who at the time was an opposition leader in Cote d`Ivoire. As we know, he later became president of his country. He was at the Conference as a special invitee of the SDF Chairman Ni John Fru Ndi. Unfortunately, it did not appear to have worked hard enough to consolidate that cherished relationship when Gbagbo became Head of State.
