Recently, a
friend and former editor of the erstwhile London-based WEST AFRICA magazine
(where I once worked), Kwasi Gyan-Apenteng, wrote on Facebook: “The level of
sin at Dansoman in Accra must be below the national average; I have never seen
such a large collection of churches in any one community anywhere else.”
What Kwasi
probably does not know is that some years ago, Vicky Street in Bamenda,
headquarters of Cameroon`s North West Region - which is not a long street by
any stretch of the imagination – was found to have up to seven different
churches within its territory.
So, Dansoman
in Accra may not be a case in solation.
