As everyone
knows already, the winners of the 2014 edition of the World Cup for football
are the Germans. The German First Eleven beat their Argentinian counterparts
during the finals in Brazil yesterday and lifted the cup. However, that is
perhaps no longer news.
What may be
news though, is the reminder that just before the World Cup Competition began,
Cameroon`s Indomitable Lions drew in a friendly with the German team. It must
have been that surprise element that made a CRTV Journalist Njie Mbonde Albert
to ask Cameroon`s coach Volker Finke exactly what made the German side to
become so better afterwards that it actually went on to win the World Cup.
Unexpectedly,
Fincke turned the tables on Njie Mbonde by saying that the question that ought
to be asked was why after drawing with Germany, Cameroon descended so low that
it was eliminated the way it was.
Come to think
of it, the coach has a point. We Cameroon must now go back to the drawing board
and leave no stone untruned in the quest for a total recovery.
