A CAMEROONIAN TO BE PROUD OF

A CAMEROONIAN TO BE PROUD OF
Internet is a form on which people meet people. Even so, according to the social medium, such meetings are usually superficial and shallow. One of such people I have had contact with on the yahoogroups discussion forum is called Martin Tumasang.
Apart from the occasional interaction on facebook, I do not remember ever meeting Martin face-t-face. Even so, today I read an article he posted on facebook that has moved me profoundly and I really and truly take off my heart for him. It is the large number of degrees and other qualifications he has earned and now safely and proudly hold under his belt.
If our country, Cameroon, were some other country, the government would send someone to look for Dr. Martin Tumasang and give him a post in which he could best serve the nation. Yet, perhaps as I speak, he is putting those skills at the service of another country.
Here are the doctor`s credentials:
Martin Tumasang
Barrister at law, Advocate/Notary Public/Solicitor, International Arbitrator, Chartered Valuation Surveyor, Principal Quantity Surveyor, Claims Quantum Consultant.
MRICS [London], MCIArb [London], RRVal [London], ABIFM [UK], ADIAC[Dubai], Barrister [Inner Temple London], Advocate/Notary Public/Solicitor [La Republique du Cameroun/Southern Cameroons], Doctor of Philosophy[PhD Sheffield Hallam University, Sheffield], Master of Laws (LLM with merit Oil and Gas Law) [Robert Gordon University Aberdeen], Master of Science (MSc Construction Law and Dispute Resolution) [Leeds Metropolitan University, Leeds], Master of Science (MSc Property Valuation) [Sheffield Hallam University, Sheffield], Bar Professional (BPTC) [BPP University College London], Post Graduate Diploma (PGDip Property Valuation) [Sheffield Hallam University, Sheffield], Graduate Diploma Legal Studies (GDL/CPE) [University of Hertfordshire, London], Bachelor of Science (BSc (Hons), 2nd Upper), Quantity Surveying [OAU, Ife, Osun State].

The author`s intention was not in any way to parade his degrees. Far from it, he posted them in order to substantiate a legal article he wrote on the ongoing saga between Cameroon`s Arts and Culture Minister Ama Tutu Muna and the Artist Prince Ndedi Eyango.
Dr. Tumasang`s article is entitled “Interpretation of the Nationality Law applicable in La République du Cameroun and Southern Cameroons (Rejoinder).” The article can be consulted in its entirety by following the link: https://mail.google.com/mail/u/0/h/6l776u77uhhg/?&v=c&s=q&q=martin+tumasang&th=143baca8cb014eb4.
