Former Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari and candidate for the forthcoming Nigerian presidential elections has lauded Cameroon and Chad and castigated his own country over the war currently being fought against the Islamic sect, Boko Haram.
Speaking to the international News Agency Reuters recently, Buhari said:"It’s a big disgrace for Nigeria. It is now Cameroon and Chad fighting
the insurgency more than Nigeria. We will build the capacity and Nigeria
should be able to secure its territorial integrity,” he said.
In another development, the international London-based magazine, THE ECONOMIST, has endorsed the candidacy of Buhari as presidential candidate. The publication did so on the grounds that " “A former dictator is better than a failed president.”"
