RECRUITMENT AT BUEA UNIVERSITY`S KUMBA COLLEGE

The Vice Chancellor of the University of Buea, Dr. Nalova Lyonga, has announced that applications are invited for the positions of 30 academic staff (Assistant Lecturers) for the newly-created Higher Teachers` Training College (HTTTC) in Kumba, Meme Division of the South West Region.

The announcement covers all the fourteen departments that the College is to kick off with in the 2014-2015 academic year. These are:

1.  The Department of Civil Engineering and Forestry Techniques

2.  The Department of Topography and Real Estate Management

3.  The Department of Computer Science

4.  The Department of Law

5.  The Department of Science of Education

6.  The Department of Social Economy and Family Management

7.  The Department of Renewable Energy

8.  The Department of Tourism and Hospitality Management

9.  The Department of Electrical and Power Engineering

10.                   The Department of Guidance and Counselling

11.                   The Department of Mechanical Engineering

12.                   The Department of Management Sciences

13.                   The Department of Administrative Techniques

14.                   The Department of Agronomy

Applicants must be holders of a PhD degree or its equivalent, or holders of a Master`s degree or equivalent with proof of registration for a PhD programme. However, priority will be given to holders of the PhD degree.

1.  A signed and dated letter of application

2.  A signed and dated curriculum vitae

3.  A certified true copy of candidate`s birth certificate

4.  Certified true copies of academic certificates

5.  A 2-3 page abstract of the PhD thesis for candidates holding a PhD degree or its equivalent

6.  A brief statement of research interest of not more than 2 pages or statement of innovations that would enhance performance and integration with a research group within the prospective Department

7.  Copies of publications appearing in peer reviewed journals

8.  Evidence of previous employment (if applicable)

9.  Evidence of registration in a PhD programme for holders of the Master`s degree.

The deadline for the submission of application files is the 4^th of July 2014.
