REACTIONS TO MY BOKO HARAM STORY

Earlier today, I published a story entitled “WAS BOKO HARAM RESPONSIBLE FOR THE TRANSFER OF CAMEROON GOVERNOR?” It was a reaction to an insinuation on the Camnetwork yahoogroups posted by Martin Tumasang to the effect that the Governor of the Far North Region was transferred because he disclosed details of the killings of Boko Haram members by the country`s armed forces.

I have received two reactions to my post, one of which is from Dr. Martin Tumasang and the other from Ntemfac Ofege. Here below I reproduce the two responses:

Dr. MARTIN TUMASANG

 “HI,

we can play all the games on earth as we like. You do not confirm the killing of 60 Boko Haram in your area of jurisdiction and get transferred same day and you claim there is no connection. He should be praised or promoted for a job well done and allowed to continue the good job of killing the Boko Harams instead of immediate transfer to a benign place like Bafousam.

The Boko Haram fight is at present the greatest challenge facing Cameroun. Do you transfer away the best in such a hurry?. Do you transfer the best in the middle of a deadly fight?. The fight is serious and either the presidency did not like the communication or it did not like the actions on the ground and hence the transfer.

A weakness was realised and the urgent transfer in the middle of heavy combat. Do you want the presidency to say the transfer was because of this or that?. No. The manner, timing, surrounding issues etc. of the transfer suggest that it is linked to Boko Haram in one way or another. Poor preparation, poor action or poor communication. The link is there.
