AMA TUTU MUNA`S NERVES OF STEEL

Shortly before the recent reunification celebration in Buea, one of our country`s cabinet ministers – Arts and Culture`s Ama Tutu Muna – was hit by a major tragedy. She lost her only child and only son in a ghastly accident on the road to Soa in the neighbourhood of Yaounde.

On the surface, one may think that the deceased, Efemi Kwenti Muna, who died in the prime of his youth at the age of 27, was just a child or just a son to his mother. No, astrologically speaking, the two had great affinities with each other. The mother is of the Astrological sign of Cancer (a Water sign) and the son was Pisces (another Water sign). Incidentally, Efemi was born on the same day (but of course not the year) as I was born: the 5^th of March. That does not make me a member of the family, though.

Cancer and Pisces are highly compatible. In fact they have the highest level of compatibility any `couple` can have. From the very beginning of the relation, it is as high as 85 per cent. So one can understand how very close Ama and Efemi must have been to each other.  It is worth noting that it is the same degree of compatibility that united the SDF Chairman, Ni John Fru Ndi and his late wife, Rose Fru Ndi. The Chairman is Cancer (Water) while Ma Rose was Scorpio (Water).  In astrology, there are three Water signs (Cancer, Pisces and Scorpio), three Air signs (Aquarius, Gemini and Libra), three Earth signs (Capricorn, Taurus and Virgo) and three Fire signs (Aries, Leo and Sagittarius).

You may want to know that Jesus was Capricorn (Earth), his mother Mary was Virgo (another Earth) and Joseph the Carpenter (Taurus), the third Earth sign.  So, any one of the three was 85 per cent compatible with any of the other two of that Natural Element. By the way, the Earth here stands for solidity, reliability, resourcefulness, riches and wealth, realism, hard work as the key to success, the truth, moral rectitude and ultimate success. So, you can see that God carefully chose the three of them.

The rule of thumb for compatibility is that to obtain the 85 per cent, one goes with any of the other two signs in ones own Natural Element (Water, Aid, Earth and Fire). If you are with someone from your own sign, compatibility drops to 50 percent because you are too similar and there is a saying that familiarity breeds contempt. All the other relationships are below 50 per cent.

Please, be informed that astrology is learned. It is not imagined. So before you challenge anything, you must have been to the classroom, studied, done assignments and home work. But there are qualified people who can do it. There is absolutely nothing that is invented. It is simply an interpretation of God`s universe. In fact astrology has been called, “Heavenly solutions to earthly problems”. It is not enough to be a scientist or a clergy or a philosopher or an astronomer or a theologian or a socio-anthropologist, or a teacher to understand it. You must be an astrologer. So don`t waste your bullets.

Despite the heavy burden the minister had on her head at home with the untimely loss, she was still able to travel to Buea shortly after the burial of her son in order to be part of the reunification celebration. Surely, she must have nerves of steel.
